I Love Cotton Candy!

December 27, 2009 by Carolina   | Categories: Inspiration

Today I was looking for a funky camera strap for my SLR camera and I came across Cotton Candy by Natalie. Natalie has these awesome, reversible camera starps. I’ve had my Nikon for 2 years and I absolutely love her, but I wanted something fun to dress her up in. I loved them so much that I thought I’d share this great find.

Create A Free Blogger Account

December 26, 2009 by Carolina   | Categories: Blogger & WordPress, Yummy Tips & How To's

If you ever thought about creating a blog, but thought it might be a bit overwhelming to start one, you’re in for a nice treat. It really isn’t that hard to start one. Actually, I think most people have a harder time keeping one going, because of other commitments and responsibilities. I’ll give you some tips on that subject on another post. For now lets just focus on creating your new blog.

1. First go to http://blogger.com

2. On the right hand side click on the BIG orange button that reads “CREATE A BLOG”.

3. If you don’t have a Google account like Gmail or Google Groups, you’ll just have to create one. If you do, just sign into your account.

4. Now you’ll be asked to enter the title of your blog and the URL you want for your blog, like “myblogsname.blogspot.com”. (FYI: This doesn’t have to be the same as the title of your blog.)

5. Next, just choose one of their free themes which you can change later. Now click on “Continue”.

6. Now you are done and click on “Start Blogging”. If you have a custom domain name that you’ve purchased, you could add it by clicking on Advanced Setup Options.

That wasn’t to bad, huh? Next time I’ll explain how to change you Blogger template. Happy Blogging!

Merry Xmas 2009!!!

December 25, 2009 by Carolina   | Categories: Blog

Merry Xms, everyone! This year Matt is spending Xmas in Indiana working. At least we got to spend Thanksgiving together and we are very blessed. Lexani had a ball this year because she actually understood that there were presents under the tree. She claimed that Missy, our dog, made two presents go missing. Lol, she is so precious. Alexis was great this year, too. We had a good time at home and then a great evening with friends and family. Good times!!!

My Little Mascot…

I’ve been looking all over the internet and I’ve been running across all these cute little owls, so I’ve decided to add an owl to my list of contenders. So far I’ve got a rabbit, froggy and/or an owl. I’ve got to play around with some ideas and see what I’ve finally decided on. I just know I need to decide quickly because classes are about to start soon and I want to get this done before then. Let the games begin!

Sleepy Owls, etc.

NJROTC Competition

December 23, 2009 by Carolina   | Categories: My Thoughts

My oldest duaghter Alexis just competed at her first NJROTC Competition. She did such a great job, but I wish I was there for her. My husband went to see her compete, since I was stuck at a orientation at school. I hate missing such special events, but I’m super happy that dad was there. I will be posting pics soon…

New Mascot Inspiration

December 23, 2009 by Carolina   | Categories: Blog

You know I really don’t like the mascot I picked for my site, so I’m on a mission in creating one. My eye is on alert to find some inspiration in anything I see over the next couple of weeks. I think my greatest inspiration are my girls because they are always wearing something colorful and bright which I love. Anyway, the hunt is definitely on like donkey kong.

Getting Myself In Order

December 23, 2009 by Carolina   | Categories: Blog, Site Updates

We all come to a point where we are faced with tough life descisions and we must take time out to reflect, refocus and make a new plan. I have taken the time to do this for myself and my family and I have realized that I can do everything I want to do and more. I just need to be organized and patient. I am planning on getting back into the swing of things with SugarPixel on a part-time basis. The plan is to focus on Pre-Made Blogger and WordPress designs and then slowly start taking on new custom design projects.
